The letter sent by the party to the mayor of Male, Maizan Ali Manik requested the party be given the territory north of the State Trading Organization (STO) from April 20, 2012 till one year from the date. The Progressive Party of the Maldives (PPM) had also requested at the council to lease the artificial beach to the party to carry out their activities for a year. Mayor Ali Manik said today that a decision will be taken regarding the letter sent by PPM at the council meeting which is to be held next Wednesday. MDP holds the full majority of the Male city council.
