Chairperson of MDP, Ali Waheed has said that the mass rally held by the opposition parties against the government on May 1st will create results.
Ali Waheed made this remark speaking at the public rally held last night at Addu City by the “Maldivians against tyranny” movement.
Ali Waheed said that the rally will not end at sunset and the people will not return to their homes up until the government of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom “kneels down”.
He said that the May 1st rally would be the defining moment of the movement and would reveal all the acts of the Government.
“We will take to the streets with a minimum of 25,000 people and will bring the downfall of this government,” he said.
Ali Waheed appealed all people to come to Male’ to join the mass rally of 1st May. He said that the rally held on that day will definitely create results.
