Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has stated Brigadier General Rtd. Ibrahim Mohamed Didi is ‘not a terrorist، but a hero who fought to save the nation’.
MDP Chairperson Ali Waheed said in a press conference held today that although Ibrahim Didi is a national hero and an honest soldier who served the nation well، and yet was accused of a terrorist.
“This shows how much the governing entities value the honest people who served this nation. This is indeed very sad،” Ali Waheed said.
“I still see him as a General of the army than a politician. Politics should interfere with politicians.”
He further said MDP is concerned with the health of Ibrahim Didi.
Meanwhile، MP for Hithadhoo Central Constituency، Brigadier General Rtd. Ibrahim Didi has been admitted in ADK Hospital ICU due to a ‘cardio threat’، on Sunday night.
Brigadier General Rtd. Ibrahim Mohamed Didi was in the army during the terrorist attack on Maldives on 3rd November 1988.
