The Supreme Court of the Maldives has upheld the ruling by the High Court on the case of local daily news “Haveeru”.
Rejecting to accept the appeal on ruling of High Court on the case of daily news Haveeru and it’s publications، Supreme Court said that the appeal submitted by Dr. Zahir Hussain on 4 November 2015 can not be accepted by the court.
The ruling by the Supreme Court says that the ruling by the High Court on the matter did not violate any legal procedure or any laws، therefore there are no legal grounds to consider the High Court ruling invalid.
