Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef attended an official banquet on Sunday evening hosted by King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain at the historic Real Alcázar de Sevilla, honouring delegates to the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4). The dinner brought together heads of state and government from across the globe.
He arrived in Spain the previous day to take part in the conference, which runs from 30 June to 3 July in Seville.
A statement from the President’s Office outlined his agenda during the four-day summit, which includes attending the inaugural session and delivering a plenary address. He is also scheduled to join symposia with international stakeholders, where he will highlight the Maldives’ ongoing financial reform efforts.
