President Muizzu Affirms Government’s Commitment to Supporting Nurses

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to recognising and enhancing the role of nurses in the Maldivian healthcare system. In a special message delivered on the occasion of Nurses Day, observed today, the President acknowledged the vital and unparalleled contribution nurses make in delivering care and compassion every day.
Highlighting the critical responsibilities borne by nurses, the President described their work as one of the most honourable and demanding professions. He praised nurses for their tireless efforts in serving humanity around the clock and underscored that their service not only uplifts society but also earns the heartfelt prayers and gratitude of those they care for.
The President assured that his Government will actively listen to the concerns of nurses and take appropriate action, with a particular focus on improving the benefits and support systems available to them.
In a message shared via social media, President Muizzu further expressed that while hospitals serve as places of treatment, it is the dedicated presence of nurses at patients’ bedsides that makes the greatest difference.
