Maldives and Pakistan discuss strengthening cooperation in tourism, higher education, and climate resilience

The Maldives has held bilateral talks with Pakistan to enhance cooperation in key areas including higher education, tourism, and climate resilience.  
Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef met with Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on Wednesday at the President’s Office.  
During the meeting, the Vice President welcomed the long-standing and friendly relations between the Maldives and Pakistan, and acknowledged Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining and deepening these ties.  
The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen collaboration in tourism and higher education, emphasizing mutual benefits and sustainable development.  
They also addressed the importance of joint efforts to tackle climate change, highlighting the need for solutions that serve both nations.  
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and cooperating on initiatives that promote shared progress and long-term stability.
