A fire broke out at an apartment in Hulhumale’ on Saturday, resulting in extensive damages.
According to the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF), the fire broke out at an apartment in lot 10066, located in Hulhumale’ Phase I.
The incident was reported at around 08:49 am.
Firefighters from the Hulhumale’ Fire Station were immediately deployed to the location, and managed to put out the fire at around 09:25 am.

While the incident did not result in any injuries, it resulted in extensive damages to one of the bedrooms, where the fire appears to have originated from.
A spokesperson from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), quoting the Hulhumale’ Fire Station, told Sun that the apartment in question is a residential apartment.

However, it is unclear how many people were living in the apartment, or if they were present at the time of the fire.
