Police tow 22 vehicles over weekend, mostly unlicensed motorcycles

Police towed 22 vehicles over the weekend in Male’, Hulhumale’, and surrounding areas, citing license violations and dangerous driving.  
According to police statistics, 20 vehicles were seized over the past two days, 19 motorcycles and one car. An additional two motorcycles were towed from the city.  
Among the vehicles seized, 12 motorcycles and one car were found to be operated without valid licenses. Six motorcycles were towed for dangerous driving, and one more was impounded for other violations.  
Police also issued fines to 30 individuals during the same period, 27 motorcyclists and three car drivers.  
Authorities say dangerous driving remains a serious issue in Male’ and Hulhumale’, with past incidents resulting in fatalities. The towing and fines are part of an ongoing effort to improve road safety and enforce traffic regulations.
