The Hdh. Nolhivaranfaru Council has announced that sand from the pile located on the western side of Nolhivaranfaru harbor will be distributed to residents at a rate of 100 tin canister per household.
According to the Council’s announcement, the distribution applies to households where ordinary citizens reside and to registered residential plots where essential construction work is ongoing.
Those who wish to receive sand are required to register in person at the Nolhivaranfaru Council Office before 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The Council emphasized that registration can only be done once per applicant.
Following the registration period, the Council will contact the listed applicants and begin sand distribution from 4 PM to 6 PM on official working days.
The Council also noted that those unable to collect sand on the assigned day will only receive their share after all registered parties have been served, based on the order of the registration list. Additionally, residents were reminded that sand collected must be removed on the same day of distribution.
