Thulusdhoo MP Rozaina Adam has said that members of all political parties that oppose former President Mohamed Nasheed have said that the only candidate they accept out of the four presidential candidates, is President Dr Mohamed Waheed.
Rozaina said this at a press conference held by Forward With The Nation Coalition regarding their recent visit to Laamu Atoll.
“People in all the houses [in the islands] said that the candidate they accept as the most capable, educated, patient and loyal candidate is Dr Waheed. People in houses painted PPM’s colour confessed that they will vote for Dr Waheed, and said that they don’t support Yameen even though they support President Maumoon,” she said.
She said that it became evident during the visits to the atolls that there is great support for the coalition.
At the press conference, the coalition’s youth spokesperson Mohamed Jaushan Shareef said that the majority of the people in the atolls support President Waheed.
“We can confidently say that the majority of the people in the atolls will vote for us,” he said.
