Ministry of Tourism of Maldives has provided a warm welcome to all tourists who arrived in Maldives on flights that landed in Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) during the peak time, this Tuesday morning – in celebration of World Tourism Day.
Tourists were welcomed at Maldives at the arrival terminal by staff of Ministry of Tourism and Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) wearing traditional Maldivian garb.
Assistant Director of Ministry of Tourism, Ahmed Abeer Ismail said that multiple activities had been planned across the country to celebrate World Tourism Day – including special welcomes to tourists arriving in Maldives as well as a special forum held by the tourism industry of the country.
Associate General Manager – Corporate Communications of MACL, Hassan Areef said that the special welcomes would continue throughout the day – including the peak time during afternoon and night.
The tourists are also being treated to traditional Maldivian entertainment numbers including dances.
