Former Commissioner of Police, Abdulla Riyaz has said that he will say what is required from him regarding the murder of Dr. Afrashim Ali when it’s time comes.
Kinbidhoo constituency MP Abdulla Riyaz made this remark in an interview to RajjeTV. He said that it was a top priority murder case during his tenure as the commissioner. He said that he believes that the investigation is still ongoing as the Police has yet not stated that they have concluded the investigation.
He said that he believes that the people have many questions they need answers from him since he was the commissioner of police at that time.
“The court trial is ongoing. I believe that it will go to the Supreme Court as well. Therefore I request the people to accept that there will be information that I cannot publicize yet,” he said.
Abdulla Riyaz said that he will say the truth and it will not be to save or accuse anyone.
In addition to this he said that he believes that there are many involved in the murder of Dr. Afrasheem.
