Five individuals have been arrested in Addu City for sexually abusing a 14-year old girl continuously over a period of time.
Police said that under a court order an 81-year-old، a 77-year-old، a 56-year-old، a 32-year-old، and an 18-year-old male have been arrested in the case. The arrestees have been remanded for 15 days.
The case was filed by Addu City’s Family and Children Service Center on 26th May.
“Vaguthu” has learned that the arrestees of the case include the father and a brother of the girl.
The police is probing the matter.
