The head of Maldivian National Cardiac Centre, Dr.Prathab have said that Dr.Ali Shafeeg, the most famous cardiac specialist of Maldives is an exemplary national figure.
Speaking to the press at the launching ceremony of CME program of the cardiac centre, Dr.Prathab says that he values the work of Dr.Ali Shafeeg who comes into office early morning and stays until very late. Dr.Prathab said that the work done by Dr.Ali is really commendable.
Dr.Prathab also said that, Dr.Ali has the opportunity to work in other clinics to make more money, however he chose to dedicate his fulltime services to IGMH. He further said that the smooth running of the National Cardiac Centre is because of Dr.Ali Shafeeg.
The CME program which started today will further train doctors, nurses and technicians to treat cardiac diseases. Doctors working in Male’ and atolls are taking part in this training program.
Dr.Prathab said that they will conduct such training every six months and the training will be facilitated by world class specialists. This period’s training is mainly focused on treatments related to cardiac arrest.
