MDP files a case in Civil Court to annul the dismissal of two SC Judges

Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has filed a case in the Civil Court of Maldives to annul the dismissal of two incumbent Judges of the Supreme Court Bench.
MDP Chairperson Ali Waheed has confirmed the Party’s submission of a case in Civil Court in a tweet he posted earlier.

MDP filed a case Civil Court requesting to annul the decision of the Judicial Services Commission of Maldives to dismiss Chief Justice Ahmed Faiz Hussain and Supreme Court Judge Mu’thasim Adnan، following the passing of the Amendment Bill to the Judicature Act.
The decision of JSC has been proposed to the Majlis، and the Sitting will be asked for the vote regarding the dismissal on Sunday afternoon.
