Court had passed to conduct the trial on the discovery of the IED near Muleeaage in discretion, on request of state attorneys.
State had raised terror charges against four individuals in connection to the case. Terror charges had been filed against Ahmed Mamdhooh, Zihaan Ahmed, Mohamed Ubaid Ibrahim and Thalath Mohamed.
Home Minister Umar Naseer had previously said that if the IED near Muleeaage had gone off, a 60 foot fire would have engulfed the area.
Following the explosion aboard the Presidential speedboat, IEDs had been found all across Male’ and large caches of explosives were found all across the country.
