Tourism Minister Ahmed Adeeb has stated this year alone, vital projects worth US$ 800 million will be carried out in the airport.
Adeeb made the statement speaking in the ceremony held to sign the agreement runway for repairing and asphalt re-surfacing at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA).
Minister Adeeb assured that the Government would initiate several large scale projects designed to revitalize the economy. As such, he noted that land reclamation of Hulhumale’ second phase is already complete in addition to the bridge project which is set to start soon.
Minister Adeeb noted the vital role China played in all of the projects and thanked Chinese Government for their continued assistance.
Speaking in the ceremony, Chinese Ambassador also assured that the Chinese assistance will be provided in all necessary areas.
