An elderly COVID-19 patient admitted at the Hulhumale’ Medical Facility has passed away. 
The patient, a 73-year-old Maldivian female, passed away this Saturday. 
Her death marks the third COVID-19 fatality this October, and increases Maldives’ COVID-19 death toll to 234. 
It also comes a day after a 97-year-old patient died at the Addu Covid Management Facility. 
Maldives has 85,394 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 46 new cases recorded on Friday. 83,809 patients have since recovered. 
The country currently has 1,339 active cases. 15 of the patients are hospitalized.
