Opposite Presidential candidate Yameen Abdul Gayyoom is set to visit the islands of Haa Alif atoll.
During the news conference that was held today, PPM provided details on his travel plans.
Yameen will visit five islands from the Haa Alif atoll between October 12 and 15, according to the spokesperson for the Progressive Congress coalition, Heena Waleed. These islands are H.a. Kelaa, H.a. Baarah, H.a. Dhihdhoo, H.a. Ihavandhoo, and H.a. Thuraakunu.
Heena Waleed explains that the primary purpose of the visits is to interact with people and party members, learn about the needs of the populace, and gather data for the presidential election manifesto.
It can be noted that Yameen had visited Dh. Atoll last month too.
PPM has been putting a lot of effort into raising the party’s membership and improving its public relations in order to get ready for the election the following year.
