STO has decided to establish an online platform that will allow doctors to instantly check the availability of medicines in STO pharmacies.
The decision was made during a consultative meeting held today between STO, Maldives Doctors Union, and Maldives Medical Association.
The meeting aimed to address concerns regarding the difficulties faced by the public in obtaining medicines and to explore sustainable solutions.
A joint committee has also been formed to tackle medicine-related issues, comprising representatives from STO, Aasandha, MFDA, Maldives Doctors Union, and Maldives Medical Association.
Once the new system is implemented, it will help reduce inconveniences for patients by ensuring doctors have real-time access to information on available medicines.
