Bank of Maldives (BML) awarded opportunities for higher studies to three students under BML scholarship fund.
The recipients of BML scholarship for 2022 are Ahmed Nisaal Abdulla, Aminath Maisa Niyaz and Ismail Zakwan Shihad.
The announcement of BML said that they were proud to award fully funded scholarship opportunities to three outstanding young Maldivians and that the scholarship offers opportunity to develop the next generation leaders in the country.
BML CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer said that it was a great honor for BML to select candidates who demonstrated exceptional academic achievements and leadership potential. Supporting the academic growth of young adults with a dedication to their communities is a great way to give back and invest in the future of the country.
The Announcement also stated that the Scholarship was open for academically meritorious students with a strong desire to contribute to the development of the local banking and finance industry. And that the candidates can select any undergraduate program in a banking and finance related area from the top 200 universities in the world.
BML launched the scholarship program in November of 2021 as the first of 12 high impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate the Bank’s 40th anniversary.
