Youth Minister Iruthisham Adam have said that China provides numerous amounts of assistance to Maldives, an infant democracy.
She made this statement while speaking at the opening ceremony of a Chinese Cultural show held last night to mark the 45th year since Maldives and China established diplomatic relations. The cultural show was organized by Chinese Embassy and National Center for the Arts.
Iruthishaam said that from social programs to mega economic projects, China’s assistance can be seen everywhere and Maldivians should be grateful for these services. Iruthishaam said that to strengthen the relation between the country, cultural relations should be strengthened. She said that such shows will strengthen the relations.
In addition, she said that Maldivians should know things like martial arts. Iruthishaam thanked the Chinese Ambassador Wang Fukang for providing the opportunity for Maldivians to see such a show from Maldives. She also noted that a lot of work has been done to revive Maldivian cultures and traditions since President Yameen assumed office. She also noted the importance of strengthening cultural relations between China and Maldives. She said that to strengthen relations between the two countries it is vital to reinforce cultural relations.
