Adeeb and Haamid Ismail has appealed their conviction in embezzlement case. Adeeb and Ziyath were convicted to 8 years in prison while Haamid was sentenced to 2 years.
They were convicted to embezzling 5 million dollars that was received as acquisition cost of Lh.Maabinhura. While Adeeb was sentenced to 8 years in jail for this crime، he was also convicted of possessing a pistol and got 10 years for that. Also Adeeb was sentenced to jail for 15 years in jail for his role in Finifenma explosion. In total he will have to spend 33 years in jail unless a higher court over turns the rulings of the lower court.
