Members of Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM) have visited Asseyri Prison to meet with the former President Mohamed Nasheed، who is serving 13 years of imprisonment due to proven terrorism charges for detaining Abdulla Gaazee in 2012.
President Nasheed had been transferred to Asseyri Prison in Himmafushi on Tuesday. The members of HRCM had visited the prison in the afternoon on Wednesday.
President Nasheed has been transferred to Asseyri Prison temporarily.
