BML branches, except Bazaar Branch to open on 02 Apr

Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced all of its branches, except for its bazaar branch will open on Thursday, 02 April 2020.
The national bank of Maldives confirmed all the branches and service centers in Greater Male’ Region, excluding the only exception, will be opened for services from Thursday morning for 03 hours.
BML confirms their branches will commence services at 09:30hrs and the venues will remain open until 12:30hrs on Thursday afternoon.
However, the bank further noted their ATM services will continue remain functional on a 24-hour basis. Customers will be able to use the self-service ATMs for deposits, withdrawals and transfer of funds between accounts.
Moreover, the bank further advised its broad customer base to primarily opt for internet or mobile banking services for menial or standard transactions.
BML announced temporarily closing all of its branches in light of the COVID-19 viral pandemic, which reached the island nation earlier in 2020.
The Maldives government have taken strict measures in hopes of curbing the spread of the virus into mainland areas, and limit the disease from contracting to unaffected people.
