Minister of Environment and Energy، Thoriq Ibrahim، has hosted a dinner for the visiting delegates who are taking part in the 3R Forum which started on 17 August 2015.
The dinner، hosted at Dharubaaruge on Tuesday evening، was attended by Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon، and Japanese State Minister of Environment Mr. Yasuhior Ozato.
Welcoming all the delegates to the Maldives for the forum، Minister Thoriq highlighted the importance in mainstreaming 3Rs in the overall policy، planning and development.
Speaking at the night، Minister Dunya noted that the Maldives is the first country to raise the issue of climate change of Small Developing Island States (SIDS) in an international platform.
The Sixth Regional 3R forum being held in Maldives will conclude on 19th August 2015.
