According to reports, every passenger on the Landhoo boat, which ran aground on K.Gaafaru while en route to Male, was saved and transported to Maafaru.
According to MNDF, they received reports of a Landhoo boat running ashore today at about 10:55am.
The boat’s captain said that 12 Maldivians and 35 Bangladeshis travelled from the boat. He also stated that the arrangements for all of the passengers’ and crew members’ stay and meals has been arranged by Gaafaru.
According to reports, a supply boat is collecting the gas cylinders that are waving away.
The local people of Gaafaru and other boats passing through the region helped the passengers. The boat, however, fully ran aground and sank.
