A group of masked men armed with knives robbed the Western Union branch in the capital Male after tying up several employees late Sunday.
Police said the robbers had tied up the employees at knife point around 1145 pm and cleaned out the local money transfer outlet.
Police said the investigation is underway and the amount of money stolen in the heist remains unclear.
