An audio clip of former president Mohamed Nasheed speaking to former MDP chairperson Reeko Moosa Manik and current MDP chairperson Ali Waheed، addressing former Defense Minister Mohamed Nazim as a “rebel” has been leaked.
The audio clip leaked on to the social media، is apparently a phone call between the three MDP heads.
According to the voice clip، Mohamed Nasheed spoke to Ali Waheed urging the latter to publicly curse at Colonel retired Mohamed Nazim، and also stated that any election post discussion with Nazim must not take place and is not necessary.
So far it is not clear when the call was made and therefore recorded، however since both Mohamed Nasheed and Mohamed Nazim are currently doing their time at jail، it is strongly believed the call took place before their incarceration.
The three men had discussed about Mohamed Nazim، for which Nasheed had maintained an abusive tone، addressing Nazim with slang terms while، Moosa Manik had said he had received a phone call from Nazim (though not stated، it is hinted strongly) for which Nasheed had said there is “room for discussion” on the matter at hand.
