Former Thoddoo constituency MP and current chairperson of MDP، Ali Waheed has strongly criticized the current government.
Stating from his twitter account، Ali Waheed says that the current situation witnessed and experienced by the residents of Male’ comes as a direct result of the failure of government.
His tweet translates roughly into “Dismissal of qualified personnels from designations and giving the posts to political activists instead without a plan B (back up plan) resulting in the ill fate of the citizens is evidence that current government has failed”.
Gaabil Meehun Beyrukoh، Activistunnah Technical Magaamthah Bahaa، Plan B eh Nethi Rayyithunnah Mi Haal Jehumun، Sarukaaru Failed kan Yageen.

While Ali Waheed has panned the current government for their lack of effort and efficiency in bringing a thorough result for the issue، President appointed Special Task Force has affirmed that every citizen in Male’ will currently receive fresh water via the specific locations in Male’، as well as on specified intervals from MWSC، which may be accessible via ground floor level only due to the low pressure.
The task force also highlighted that eventhough the citizens will not have any trouble receiving drinking water، from various locations، it would take at least 7 t0 10 days time for the situation to return to normal completely.
Former MP Ali Waheed also tweeted the bill to be charged for the citizens for water from MWSC for the month of December must be voided or excused given the circumstances of citizens living in Male’، mentioning the difficulties they are facing.
December Mahuge Fen Bill Rayyithunnah Hiley Kohdhinumah Sarukaarah Govaalan. Mi Thakuleefuge Badhal Rayyithunnah Libenjehey.
