President urges all to emulate the teachings of the Prophet

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has urged all people to emulate the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad, and to strengthen unity and harmony among us.
President made this remark in his address to the nation on the occasion of the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
President Yameen said that the Prophet was sent as a mercy to all people and it should be the aim of all Muslims to uphold his teachings and emulate his noble traditions.
He said that the purpose of celebrating his birth day should be to take lessons from his noble life and to strengthen the resolve to be steadfast upon Islam.
In his message, the President said that the Holy Prophet was the example for all Muslims to follow. He urged the people to emulate the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad, and to strengthen unity and harmony among us.
The President conveyed greetings to the people of the Maldives on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). He also sent greetings of this auspicious day to the leaders of Islamic countries, Islamic organisations and the entire Muslim Ummah.
