President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has extended greetings to the people of the Maldives on the New Year.
He conveyed the New Year greetings stating that it gives him immense pleasure to extend his sincere greetings and best wishes to the people of Maldives for 2015.
The President said that the year 2015 is marked more colourfully as Maldives will celebrate the golden jubilee of the independence of Maldives.
“I extend the greetings and best wishes of this golden jubilee to the people of Maldives,” he said.
President Yameen stated that the year 2014 ended as a happy and prosperous year for the people of Maldives by the mercy and blessing of Allah.
He said that the government achieved success in fulfilling the promises of his government to the people.
The President prayed that the year 2015 be a successful year for the Maldives. “And with the blessings of Almighty Allah, may the New Year bring greater peace and harmony, and allow us to achieve greater national development and progress,” he said.
