BML tables AGM for May 29

Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced on hosting its annual general meeting for 2022 on 29 May 2022.
According to the national bank of the island nation, its AGM is scheduled for 20:30hrs, Sunday evening of the date slated.
The AGM will be hosted for pre-registered shareholders, proxyholders and via ‘FahiVote’ the online meeting management system by Maldives Securities Depository.
Moreover, at the AGM the directors’ board will announce the dividends for shareholders from the retained profits of the bank in 2021.
Additional items in the agenda include the appointment of external auditors and setting their remuneration, appointment of new members to the directors’ board and resolution of chairperson’s remuneration.
The bank has informed all of its shareholders to pre-register or register their proxies between 09 to 27 May.
The directors’ board had proposed an interim and final dividend of MVR48 per share for a total retained profit of MVR250,332,160.
Meanwhile, a total of two audit firms expressed interest to the bank’s announcement seeking external auditors for the fiscal year of 2022; which include Ernst & Young and KPMG.
