Ambassador of Guinea presents credentials to the President

The Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea to the Maldives, His Excellency Conte Alassane, presented his Letter of Credence to His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, at a ceremony held this morning at the President's Office.
The Ambassador was escorted to the President’s Office from Republic Square in a cultural procession, “Haiykolhu,” accompanied by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Drum and Trumpet Band.
Following the presentation of credentials, the President and the Ambassador discussed potential areas of collaboration, including investments, economic cooperation, and environmental issues. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the close bilateral relations between the two nations.
Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Guinea were established on April 8, 1983.
