In a significant step to accelerate the nation's digital ambitions, a key consultation meeting titled "Co-Creating Pillar 8 Private Sector Dialogue" has been scheduled for 15 April.
The meeting is convened to actively engage the private sector in the implementation of the government's comprehensive digital transformation project, "Maldives 2.0," and to foster the development of a robust ICT ecosystem.
The dialogue is jointly organised by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Maldives Digital Service, and MINDCo. It is dedicated to the eighth pillar of the Maldives 2.0 roadmap, which focuses specifically on digital economy development and innovation. This initiative comes at a time when the government is intensifying its efforts to digitise public services, recognising that achieving its strategic goals requires deep collaboration with commercial and technological innovators.
The event is designed to be a platform for constructive discussion in an open environment. It will bring together digital transformation officers from various government ministries and agencies with representatives from the private sector. The primary objective is to identify concrete ways to increase private sector participation in the Maldives 2.0 initiative. Additionally, the insights gathered from the dialogue will be instrumental in refining the roadmap's activities to ensure they are viable and beneficial for all stakeholders.
