The Maldives Media Institute (MMI) run by Public Service Media (PSM), will conduct a basic media skills workshop in Kulhudhuffushi City, as part of its efforts to strengthen media capacity in the atolls.
According to MMI, the first workshop of the programme will be held in Kulhudhuffushi City from 24 September to 3 October. The workshop will provide training in journalism, camera operation, video editing, as well as news and programme presentation. Participants will also be offered pathways to pursue careers in the media industry.
Applications are now open for those interested in participating in the Basic Media Skills Workshop. Completed application forms must be submitted to the MMI by 2:00 p.m. on 22 September, along with a clear copy of both sides of the applicant’s identity card.
PSM is committed to expanding training opportunities for journalists and media personnel, with plans to introduce similar workshops in different parts of the Maldives in the future.
