A case has been submitted to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) against Chief Judge of High Court Ahmed Shareef. The case was submitted by eight sitting judges of the High Court. Sun has come to know that the case is related to the stay order issued by the High Court yesterday ordering to temporary halt all proceedings regarding the case of former President Mohamed Nasheed, which is currently being contested in Hulhumale’ Court. The order High Court stay order was signed by Judge Ahmed Shareef alone. JSC Media Official Hassan Zaheen has confirmed that a case against the judge was submitted to the JSC, but did not reveal any details.
Judge Ahmed Shareef was said to be member of the judicial reform commission attempted to be established by former President Mohamed Nasheed.
