Ahmed Shareef (Eagle Shareef) political activist and DRP member had alleged that the leader of Adhaalath Party، Sheikh Imran Abdulla has hijacked and took control over all the gangs in Male’ city.
Speaking to the press at Mookai Hotel today، Shareef alleged that Imran has control over all the gangs and that he is a ‘gang star’.
“The incumbent government do not control the gangs. Imran has took control over all the gangs. He is marked as a gang star now.”
Shareef further said the approaches of Imran for ‘peaceful solutions’ are unethical، and alleged that Imran ‘uses religion as a tool for his personal gain’.
Furthermore، noting that religious scholars should abstain from being political، Shareef had criticized the sermon of Sheikh Ilyas Hussain on Friday night، saying that it was not a religious preaching، but a political statement.
“What they say today، are simply stunts to mislead people and to take control over police، army and the gangs.”
In addition، Shareef called upon all religious scholars to support the government، as the people seek developments for the country.
