Videos of an Addu City student a Fuvahmulah student have been selected as the best among students’ category in the video presenting competition at International Teachers’ Conference.
The best videos were chosen as the ones presented by Mohamed Vildhaan Waheed of S. Atoll School and Mohamed Shihab of Randha، Gn. Fuvahmulah، at the conference which concluded on 2nd September. Education Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham gave away the prizes presented by Dhiraagu and Bandos Island Resort to these students.

In this conference، students presented videos under the theme ‘Technology enabled my learning’. While students from various schools of Maldives presented videos in this conference، the judges panel noted that videos related to the theme of the competition were comparatively less. Hence، instead of selecting 1st، 2nd and 3rd places، the judges panel decided to select the best video amongst all from the competition.
“We hope that such a competition will be held next year as well. However، the next International Teachers’ Conference will be in 2017”، an official from Education Ministry told Vaguthu Addu.
S. Atoll Education Centre noted that the work of the winning student is exemplary to all of the students of Addu City.
“This is an achievement Vildhaan got by making use of an opportunity opened up for the students. I want to tell all the other students of the school even to make use of the opportunities they come across. If done so، a lot of things can be learnt”، said Principal of S. Atoll School.
