Nasheed is affiliated with drugs، not President Yameen – Umar

Illicit drugs and people involved in the illegal business are affiliated with the former president Mohamed Nasheed، and not with the current president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom، says Minister of Home Affairs Umar Naseer.
During the days of Presidential Election primaries in PPM، Umar Naseer alleged President Yameen of being affiliated with gangs and drugs. However، answering a question in the Parliament on Monday، Umar Naseer have taken back the claim and redirected it to Mohamed Nasheed.
In a Parliament session on Monday، Galolhu Uthuru MP Eva Abdulla asked Home Minister about the claims he made during PPM primary elections against President Yameen، whether he still have affiliations with gangs and if any investigation is going on about it.
Answering to the question Home Minister Umar said that the only person affiliated with such gangs and drugs is former President Mohamed Nasheed، who also  consumes alcohol، and that if his urine is to be tested now، it will be positive for drugs.
Umar answered sarcastically when the MDP members in the Parliament questioned him regarding the claims he made against President Yameen. He said the answers will be ironic when the questions are the same. Hulhu Henveyru MP and the Vice Speaker of the Parliament Moosa Manik of MDP asked not to criticize one party and to speak with respect.
