Joint military training program of India, Maldives, and Sri Lanka ; Dosti 13 has been officially inaugurated today. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held at Islamic Center this morning, the Coast Guard Commander Lt. Mohammed Ibrahim said that such trainings are really important.
Mohamed Ibrahim said that this training is important for regional security and also for maritime security because citizens from all the three countries spend a lot of time at sea.
He said that because of such trainings, a close bond develops between senior figures of the military of the three countries. He said that close relations with senior figures within the military helps to achieve various things.
In addition, he thanked India and Sri Lanka for contributing to regional security and also for all their help to the Maldivian coast guard.
