The Maldives Immigration has announced revised operating hours for its services during the holy month of Ramadan to ensure continued public access while maintaining operational efficiency.
Passport applications will continue to be accepted at any time through the IMUGA online portal. For in-person services, queue numbers will be issued daily via the QueueBee application from 9:15 am to 1:00 pm, Sunday to Thursday, and from 9:15 am to 11:00 am on Fridays.
Immigration offices in the islands will facilitate passport handovers from 9:15 am to 12:00 pm. Emergency passport-related matters can be addressed by contacting 9555333 for immediate assistance.
For visa services, e-visa applications remain available 24 hours a day through IMUGA. In-person visa processing will be conducted from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Star Clouds Building. The Immigration Enforcement and Compliance Division will provide repatriation services daily from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Seaport immigration counters will operate from 5:20 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm, excluding Fridays. Additional night shifts will run from 8:00 pm to 4:00 am. On Fridays, services will be available from 5:30 am to 8:00 am, 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, and 8:00 pm to 4:00 am. Meanwhile. regional seaport offices in Kulhudhuffushi, Uligan, and Hithadhoo will operate from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The updated schedule is designed to balance service accessibility with adjusted working hours during Ramadan.
