Applications open for World No Tobacco Day Awards

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced that application is now open for the World No Tobacco Day Awards 2026.
World No Tobacco Day award is an award presented by the World Health Organisation (WHO) on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day.
The award is presented to honour individuals organisations from each of the six WHO regions for their outstanding contributions to tobacco control.
HPA in a statement said that the applications are now open for individuals and civil society organisations and companies to apply for the awards for their work in mitigating the impact of smoking in one’s society and for initiatives carried out in line with the theme of the World No Tobacco Day.
The theme for this year’s World No Tobacco Day is "Unmasking the Appeal: Exposing Industry Tactics on Tobacco and Nicotine Products,"
Interested parties can apply via the WHO link. The deadline for the applications is 16 January, Friday.
World No tobacco Day is celebrated every year on the 31st of May.
