Hotel Asia and International Culinary Challenge 2019 kicks off

Easily regarded as the biggest hospitality related exhibition in Maldives, the 2019 edition of Hotel Asia and International Culinary Challenge kicks off on Monday, 07 October 2019.
Held at the venue of Dharubaaruge, the exhibition and the challenge, running simultaneously will last until the coming Wednesday, 09 October 2019.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the event’s organizer Maldives Exhibition and Conference Services’ (MECS) Director Mr Ahmed Jameez claimed the out-pour of support from the Maldives hospitality industry has been crucial in the success of the annually held event.
“This exhibition has entered into its 15th year of continuity and the love, support and strong rapport build with local hospitality industry has been instrumental in the event’s success year after year,” Mr Jameez said, adding “since this is a tourism related fair, we have invited local resorts to partake as well as attend the fair.”
Everything from services ranging to food and beverages, the latest in technology as well as resort construction portfolios of event participants are exhibited for the visitors to consume and acquire information on.
The 2019 edition will also witness big league hospitality firms from major countries like India and China taking part and exhibiting their services.
The Hotel Asia is most notable for the International Culinary Challenge segment which attracts high-profile chefs and cooks who showcase their mastered skills in culinary. More than 400 chefs are reportedly taking part in the event while 20 prominent and world-renowned culinary judges will be assessing the challenges these chefs take upon.
