Sheikh Imran Abdullah spoke with the protesters present at today’s Mayday event، under the slogan “Maldivians Against Injustice.”

In his speech، Imran had verbally attacked President Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s regime and asserted that the opposition is not after power or to overthrow the government. In addition to this، Imran had also called for President Yameen، indirectly to resign as he said a government should not be run by “stepping over the its citizens.”
Furthermore، he said “Police needs to reveal the truth behind Rilwan abduction case، Human was delivered the death sentence to prove the real killers behind Dr. Afrasheem’s murder، we have the real documents regarding the case، Adeeb is claiming that he controls international Mafia، we will carry out a special Dhu’a at dusk and urge everyone to be patient.”
Currently، Mayday protest participants are taking part in the special Dhu’a recitation.
