Maldives Police Service released a search warrant for an expatriate who is suspected of having sexually harassed a 17 year old minor of Faafu atoll Nilandhoo island.
Mihaaru understands that the case was filed in 2015. It appears that Police had continued the search but only publicized his photograph late Sunday.
According to Police, the suspect is Mohamed Rubel, 29 from Bangladesh.
Nilandhoo Police stated that the delay in releasing the photography was over the difficulty in finding a clear picture of the suspect.
Police did not provide further details of the case.
