Police authorities are investigating the rape case of a 20 year female in Hulhumale’.
Speaking with “Vaguthu” a Police media official has confirmed that they have received the report of an apparent rape and sexual harassment on a 20 year old female. Police is currently investigating the matter.
Since the case is currently being investigated، Police have denied to disclose further information.
“We have received reports of a young female being raped and we are currently looking into the matter and since the case is still under investigation we cannot reveal any details regarding the matter” Police media official stated.
Although not confirmed، various eyewitness sources have claimed the woman had received bruise marks all over the body، and signs of sexual and physical harassment was visible. Other sources have rumoured the woman was raped by an expatriate.
She is currently being given medical attention for the beating and bruises received on various parts of her body.
