One of the two who were arrested in the rape case on a woman in a guest house in Male’ on Wednesday is a MNDF officer.
A 23 year old and a 27 year old males were arrested in the case. Vaguthu learned that the 27 year old male is a MNDF Corporal from L. Fonadhoo.
MNDF Information Officer Hussain Ali confirmed that a MNDF officer has been arrested for a case Police are investigating. Hussain Ali informed that Police will inform the reasons of the arrest.
Police says two are arrested due to a rape case، but did not confirm if a MNDF officer was one among them.
While ten days of detainment has been given to the MNDF officer، the 23 year old got seven days detainment for the investigation of the case.
