The timetables of the schools in Maldives have been adjusted by the Ministry of Education.
On a publication today، Education Ministry insisted the schools to continue with the time table as before. If the session increases by six hours، the schools should continue teaching on the same time table as before for the first week.
The publication further states that the new time tables will be followed from October 8. The changes were brought after discussing with the zone coordinators.
Education Ministry further said not to allocate more than six working hours for a teacher، whether the teacher is in one or two sessions.
Meanwhile، the official working hours of the government have also been changed.
With this change، government offices will be opened from 8 am till 2 pm with a thirty minutes break for the employees.
